'Marsupial Dream'

Pastel, Watercolour & Ink On Arches Satine 18 x 12cm 2020 I know how we’ve all watched aghast, as our precious trees, forests, land & eco-systems, our beautiful wildlife...have been burning before our very eyes. And this has been such an unimaginable & tough journey for so many who’ve lost so much! This drawing “Marsupial Dream” and this new series of small works, which I’ve named “Kaliyuga And The Anthropocene”, are looking at the themes surrounding this tragic, horror-show...that was unfortunately, written into our collective destiny decades ago. The drawing is also the result of visiting, staying and still being in Merimbula, living through days of dark orange skies and weeks with the ever present threat of the surrounding fires...at some point burning through. 7th February, 2020
